I was on a friend's website that had a link to a website that had a link to this free holiday template. I think it's too cute! Is it too late to send out cards?
The above is one of my favorite pictures of Kristi & Kaden.
Every Christmas she downloads Christmas music for the
kids. We all gather around and sing. My kids LOVE it.
I try to keep the blog light but not all of life is light and fun. I am lucky enough to have a close and wonderful relationship with my Dad's sister, Kristi. She is my dad's youngest sibling and for as long as I can remember she has showered me with love, affection, encouragement and gifts. As my friend Angie put it, "she spoils you." She often comments on my blog two times, once under Aunt Kristi and once under the Dayton Tiger, so it looks as though two different people are complimenting my photos. Her love extends from me to my children. She loves them dearly and spoils them as well. Christmas is a child centered event at Kristi's. I have never met anyone so gifted at connecting with children.
In the recent years we have struggled with multiple health issues. The kids both have extensive allergies and Kaden has asthma. I have relinquished calling ask a nurse or a doctor for advice. I just call Kristi. A nurse by trade and brilliant. Her advice is always on target and reassuring.
I talk to her frequently. She is my mom's best friend, my dad's sister and always loving. She is the most loving, supportive and good hearted person I know.
Sunday her colon perforated and she became septic. She is on life support and very critical. I am touched by the sheer amount of people praying for her and love shown through this time. Please pray for her, her son, Jason and my parents.
We were eating dinner at my parent's last night. I told Meghan to eat a green bean because they were really good. I told her they were out of Grandma's garden (they are). She looked at me with her eyebrows knitted together in doubt and said,"Well it's not garden time."
